Q: Do I need my own instrument?

A: If you are placed on flute, oboe, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, or trombone, you will be required to purchase an instrument. These instruments are not owned by the school. Instruments can be set up on a payment plan. Percussion students are only required to purchase sticks and a practice pad. Purchasing a percussion kit is optional but encouraged.

If your child is placed on french horn, euphonium, or tuba, your student will only have to buy a mouthpiece for the instrument. These instruments are owned by the school. However, if you would like to purchase one of these instruments, please let Mrs. Roberts know.

Q: Are there performances throughout the year?

A: Yes! Students perform in winter and spring concerts, and second-year students may have additional performance opportunities, including pep rallies, 8th Grade Band Night, and MPA. All beginner and intermediate students are encouraged to participate in Solo and Ensemble as well!
