Ms. Ellie Pitts

I was born and raised a Fort Payne Wildcat! I attended Fort Payne City Schools K-12 and could not wait to come back and raise my own children within the same system. I truly believe Fort Payne City schools breeds excellence.

As an educator, I have over 18 years of experience in the public education system. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Auburn University and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from University of Alabama. War Eagle and Roll Tide! I have a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and an Educational Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership from the University of West Alabama. I have gained ample experience through my work as a third-grade teacher, Reading Specialist Pre-K through third grade, Alabama Reading Initiative Regional Support staff, and now as an Assistant Principal.

I reside in Fort Payne, Alabama with my two children. We love hiking, traveling, and any new adventures. My two boys are learning what it means to be a Fort Payne Wildcat!
