• Doodle 4 Google

The Doodle 4 Google competition is designed to encourage students to use their creativity to create their own interpretation of the Google logo.  FPMS students were given the Google template to design their masterpiece according to the theme.

Fort Payne's Ansley Grider was the Alabama state winner.  Ansley and her family were invited to San Francisco to tour the Google headquarters.  Ansley received surprise recognition at Fort Payne Middle School with a ceremony honoring her and receiving a poster-size replica of her winning drawing.  Two representatives from Google made the trip from San Francisco to present this special award.

Ansley's winning drawing was "A Cure for Cancer" in honor of her dad who is a cancer survivor.
